Since then we have grown to now offer a full pre and post contract Quantity Surveying, Construction Contract and Project Management service to successfully deliver projects in the Residential, Leisure, Education, Health and Commercial sectors.

Set up in 2022 our Project Services team offer construction design and project management consultancy services to drive your project forward from Client Brief through the design and construction process to successful completion and Client Handover.
From providing advice on the best procurement routes or choice of Construction contract through to preparing or defending Claims at Piers Brown Associates we have the experience, knowledge and expertise to provide the best advice to our Clients on the right course of action at any stage of a Construction project.
Formed in 2024 Corylus is our Property Development sister company and Construction arm offering Contracting services and Development opportunities across the UK.

At Piers Brown Associates we provide specific Cost Planning services at every level of estimate from a simple feasibility study to a detailed elemental cost plan. Simply send us your designs and sketches and we will estimate the cost of your project.
Have a design but require this incorporating into a package ready for tendering? Send us your information and at Piers Brown Associates we will produce a set of tender documents including Preliminaries, Schedule of Works, Form of Tender and Tender Invitation Letter but this can be adapted to suit individual Client requirements.
A Clients need for early cost certainty against their need to keep opportunities for changes in the project design open or the need to demonstrate competition versus a preference for partnering. These are decisions a Client will need to make when deciding which procurement route to take. At Piers Brown Associates we are able to provide knowledgeable and pro active advice in order to assist our clients throughout this process in making informed decisions.
Value engineering is a process to arrive at maximising the performance and minimising the cost of each particular design option. At Piers Brown Associates we understand the importance of this procedure and we incorporate this into our tendering process to establish cost saving alternatives while maintaining equivalent high-quality results for our Clients. At Piers Brown Associates our team of Quantity Surveyors are proficent in a variety of JCT forms of contract and will work closely with your professional team through the construction period building collaborative working relationships to enable the effective commercial management of each project from contract award to project completion and agreement of final account.
Once on site it is inevitable that changes will happen to the design and at Piers Brown Associates we are experienced in effectively managing change so as not to impact on the overall project budget as much as possible.
When a dispute arises we will seek to come to an agreeable commercial settlement considering the merits of the grievances and seeking to reach agreement without the need to proceed further. We are able to deal with a wide range of contractual issues at all stages of construction work.
There are many stages to a construction project and at Piers Brown Associates we aim to work with every Client from the earliest opportunity, through the project itself and beyond completion. By building a close relationship with each of our Clients we are able to co-ordinate each project from start to completion and beyond. From searching out and finding prospective sites, preparing feasibility studies including comparing funding options both in private & public sector, working with Clients to negotiate development agreements and appointing and managing the professional team. Once the project team is appointed setting out the project brief, managing the design and procurement process and agreeing the Contract with the Contractor. Once on site managing the construction team and managing handover of the project to the end user.

This is based on understanding each individual Clients business and how their requirements influence their key objectives. Best value in relation to construction costs comes from controlling the design process and ensuring that the most suitable design solutions, procurement options and construction techniques are used.
As an alternative procurement route for delivering your project at Piers Brown Associates we offer Clients the Construction Management procurement and construction route. This allows the Client to eliminate the need for a main contractor allowing projects to start earlier on site than traditionally procured projects. We would take the lead in procuring and managing trade contractors on site to deliver an end product that meets Client expectation on specification, quality and budget.
